Voter Awareness Campaign

IQ City United World School of Business, in association with SVEEP, recently organised The ‘Voter Awareness Campaign’ on its campus. Systematic Voter’s Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) is the flagship program of the Election Commission of India that helps spread voting awareness.

Mr. Sumit Agarwal, SVEEP and PwD Icon for North 24 Parganas District under the Election Commission of India, joined us for the enlightening session. The session started with introducing the history of the Indian voting system and the Election Commission of India to the management students. This was followed by an exciting quiz session to emphasise the importance of exercising one’s right to vote. The quiz was quite fun and the students learned many interesting facts about the Indian voting system.

With his motivating words, Mr. Sumit encouraged the students never to miss the opportunity to cast their votes. He pointed out that Voting can bring about positive societal transformation and help make India an even stronger democracy than it is today.

The session provided the students a platform to realise how important it is for them and the country that they voice their opinions through voting and become the driving force behind the progress of our country.
Happy voting!
