IQ City United world school Of Business, Uni-Sports Club organized Intra College cricket tournament on 13 December and 14 December 2024. We had a total of 9 boys teams and 3 girls teams. It was a knockout tournament format, in which the qualifying round consisted of 5 overs each, semi-final match was of 7 overs each and the final match was of 8 overs each. So, on the first day (13.12.2024) five matches were played among the boys and 2 matches were played among the girls in order to get the semi-finalist among the boys and finalist among the girls. After all the matches, we got four boys semi-finalist teams (team3, team5, team 2 & team 7) and 2 finalist girls teams (team 1 and team 2).
On the second day (14.12.2024) we had our Semifinal match among the boys which was 7 overs each. The first semi-final match of boys was between team 3 and team 5 where team 5 was the winner and they qualified as our first finalist team. Second semi-final match was between team7 and team2 where team 7 was the winner and they qualified as our second finalist team.
Later on, the final match was played among the boys with team 5 and team 7 consisting of 8 overs each, where team5 had managed to score 84 runs losing 5 wickets in the first inning and then team 7 managed to score 85 runs without loosing a single wicket and hence team 7 became the winner of the tournament among the boys.
On the other hand, girls final match was of 5 overs each, in which team 1 played against team 2, where team 1 managed to score 72 runs without losing a wicket in the first inning and then team 2 managed to score only 54 runs losing 1 wicket, and thus we got team 1 as our winner team among the girls.
Later on, there was a prize distribution ceremony, in which the winning teams were given a champion trophy along with the gold medals to each and every winning player by Prof. (Dr.) Meenakshi Khemka, Principal, IQ City United World School of Business and the runners up were also given a runners up trophy along with the silver medal to each and every runner up player.
