The International Conference on Management and Social Sciences, 2022 (ICMSS 2022) organized by IQ City United World School of Business in collaboration with Vidyasagar University on 9th December 2022 was a thumping success.
The theme of the Interdisciplinary Conference was Indian Business @75: Past, Present and Future. Throughout the day, there were discussions around the theme in multiple sessions.
The Conference was inaugurated by Prof. Sibaji Pratim Basu, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Vidyasagar University. The Keynote Address was given by the Chief Guest Prof. Achin Chakraborty, Director and Professor of Economics, Institute of Development Studies Kolkata.
The Conference was attended by stalwarts of academia, corporate leaders, industry practitioners, civil society and development workers, editors, research scholars and students in West Bengal, other states and also abroad. There was participation from almost all the Universities in West Bengal as well as other parts of the country.
It was truly an international conference with participation from the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States. The Conference was organized in hybrid mode with guest speakers and researchers joining in the different sessions from multiple time zones.
The Conference was supported by the Department of Consumer Affairs, West Bengal Government and the Department of Pollution Control, West Bengal Government.
As a mark of our concern for the environment, the Conference began with watering a sapling. The participants’ kits included plant seeds with a request to all present to plant these in their neighbourhoods.
